The Child – Messiah of Peace
Is it a flower floating in the breeze?
Or a butterfly dancing with the wind?
“Nay! Nay!” whispered the breeze
She is an angel of peace from God
A flash of smile emptied heaven
Earth filled with angels shrieking in ecstasy
Is it my creation? Cried out Brahma
The God of creation with wonder.
The fragrance of love and peace
Enveloped above and below
Messiah is born cried some
Salvation is at hand preachers held
Revolt broke out in heaven
Are we sinned to deny the bliss?
Love and peace are not my creations
They belonged to the child, said God.
The bees dance eight to convey
They have found nectar laden flower
The saliva of Liz is sweeter than honey
Murmured the bees to their flock
Jasmine begged a drop of fragrance
From the sweat of Liz to invite bees
Flowers prayed to God to rain perfumes
To match the fragrance of Liz
Breeze whispered a lullaby into its heart
“Mists sleep in the hills with peacock and deer
Flowers and foliage are still in the field
My honey! Let sleep envelops your eyelids
With your sleep, evil dies in the tomb
The hymns of angels cradle the
War battered souls and their wings
Fan the aches of wounds by bullets
Satan groaned with melancholy
‘I was like you while as a bud
Milk smelling lips bewitched gods
Angels yearned for my embrace.
My paradise is lost forever
But I find it regained in you
Let me evaporate from this world
Lest my evil deeds may disturb your peace’
The angel of peace is in deep sleep
Booms of guns fall silent in the war torn
Ukraine, Sudan, Afghan and elsewhere lest
The blasts of steel and flesh disturb the divine peace
A voice thundered from above
This be the second advent of Messiah
To establish the Kingdom of God
Hark now and hear the music of peace and love
